Delores Haire

April 3rd, 1935 - December 21st, 2023









Delores Marie Dodge Haire, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 21, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was under the care of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice.

Delores was born April 3, 1935, in Ucon, Idaho, to Keith Strong Dodge and Rachel Agnes Lake Dodge. She grew up and attended schools in Roberts, and graduated Roberts High School.

On August 7, 1953, Delores married Glenn Robert Haire in Ucon and Roberts, Idaho. Delores and Glenn made their home in Idaho Falls where Delores worked 23 years as a laundry aid for EIRMC.

Delores was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Delores served in the Young Women’s, Relief Society, and Primary organizations. She was very creative and a gifted quilter. She also loved all kinds of crafts, especially floral arranging. She also spent time catering weddings for 45 years. She loved her friends.

Delores is survived by her six children, Bryon Jay Haire of Idaho Falls, ID, JoAnn Kelly Hess of Idaho Falls, ID, Tracy Lyn (Kenn) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID, MarJean (Blake) Wright of Montpelier, ID, Diana Joblin of Little Rock, AR, and Lisa (John) Huckins Bigfort, MT; sister, Loretta (Vernon) Stamper of Roberts, ID; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Joyce) Haire of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Carol Dodge of Fairfield, MT; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, brothers, Marvin Dodge, Frank Dodge, Herbert Dodge, and sister, Mary Harvey, sister-in-law, Betty Haire, and parents-in-law, Jay & Ella Haire, and the best dog, Muffy.

Services will be held at 11:00 Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with Bishop Dahlke officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests to hug your family, tell them you love them, be kind to your neighbors, and help those in need. Live a life a little more like Delores.
