Linda Killian

January 24th, 1949 - January 4th, 2024









Linda Lee Killian, 74, of Ammon, passed away January 4, 2024, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family and Solace Hospice.

Linda was born January 24, 1949, in Berkeley, California, to Le Roy Cowan and Selma June Breitkreutz Cowan. She grew up and attended schools in Ririe. She was a member of the marching team.

On June 26, 1971, she married Arnold Gene Killian in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Linda and Gene made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Linda worked as a receptionist for Rosemark Womens Center.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and singing.

Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gene Killian of Ammon, ID; daughter, Laurie (Ron) Serr of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Travis Killian of Ammon, ID; honorary daughter, Mickie Killian of Madison, WI; son, Brandon (Crystal) Killian of Rigby, ID; daughter, Melinda (Gordon) Hodnett of Collinsville, VA; brothers, Frank (Jackie) Cowan of Highland, UT, Carl (Donetta) Cowan of Bouse, AZ, and Ben (Valerie) Cowan of Rigby, ID; sisters, Deanne Meng of Idaho Falls, ID and Dixie Gardner of Ammon, ID; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Cowan; mother, Selma June Breitkreutz; sister, Zee Rae Hill; brother, Vick Yates; and stepfather, Jerald Yates.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the Ammon 5th Ward, 2055 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Jeremy Caballero officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
