Kevin Birch

May 4th, 1955 - January 12th, 2024









Kevin Vincent Birch, 68, of Idaho Falls, unexpectedly passed away January 12, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kevin was born May 4, 1955, in Ashton, Idaho, to Vincent Aaron Birch and Marie Burt Birch. He grew up and attended schools in Saint Anthony, Idaho, and graduated from South Fremont High School. He also attended Ricks College studying horticulture.

In 1978, he married Bonnie Pang in Idaho Falls. They welcomed a daughter, Brooke, and later divorced. On August 20, 1999, Kevin married Sabrina Lee Wilson Birch, and in joining their families, Kevin gained another daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Jake Johnson. They made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Kevin owned a business as a realtor and broker.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed all things grandkids, family movies, woodworking, mountain climbing, ATV’s, politics, landscaping (he had a green thumb), Mountain Dew, and building. He had a love of God that he showed by action and example. He was always bringing humor with jokes and pranks.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Sabrina Birch of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Brooke Fung Fai Birch (Lee Trautt) of Long Beach, CA; daughter, Traci (Jake) Johnson of Shelley, ID; granddaughter, Taylor Anson of Long Beach, CA; grandson, Ryker Johnson of Shelley, ID; brother, Paul (Debbi) Birch of Saint Anthony, ID; brother, Todd (Traci) Birch of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Cheryl (Layne) Guymon of Rigby, ID; and brother, Jared (Brooke) Birch of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Aaron Birch; mother, Marie Burt Birch; granddaughter, Olivia Johnson; niece, Lacie Birch; father-in-law, James Wilson; mother-in-law, Evelyn Wilson; brother-in-law, Brent Hickman; and nephew, Dustin Birch.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Idaho Falls 24th Ward, 1155 East First Street. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Love Like Liv Scholarship Foundation or LDS Missionary Funds.
