Brad Merrill

Brad Everett Merrill, 46, of St. George, Utah, passed away December 22, 2023.

Brad was born July 15, 1977, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Dennis Wray Merrill and Rhonda Mueller Merrill. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby, Idaho, and graduated from Rigby High School. He was also a Journeyman plumber, professional cat tamer, and pug enthusiast.

On February 27, 1999, he married Sara Ball in Idaho Falls. Brad and Sara made their home in St. George, where Brad worked as a land developer and was a loving father. They later divorced. Then, Brad followed his passion in collecting and restoring four wheelers. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Brad has many close friends that loved to go on all kinds of adventures and guy trips, especially going motorcycling and snowmobiling. He enjoyed making bets with people and making them laugh. He loved his kids more than anything in the world. He loved taking motorcycle road trips with daughter, Mya, and watching her barrel race. He loved shooting and collecting guns with his son, Jex. He loved listening to daughter, Ava, sing and perform, then taking her to Outback. He loved fishing, camping, and dreaming of the next adventure with his son, Tate.

Brad is survived by his son, Jex Merrill of Rigby, ID; daughter, Mya Annette Merrill of St. George, UT; daughter, Ava Rose Merrill of St. George, UT; son, Tate Dennis Merrill of St. George, UT; brother, Greg (Jackie) Merrill of Ammon, ID; sister, Annette (Robert) Jagielski of Rigby, ID; brother, Christopher Merrill of Farmington, ID; sister, Jill (Ryan) Harris of Preston, ID; parents, Dennis and Rhonda Merrill of Rigby, ID; and grandmother, Janice Mueller of Rigby, ID.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Everett Mueller; grandparents, Glen and Ranae Merrill; niece, Halle Merrill; uncle, Brent Mueller; and cousin, Victor Mueller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Grant 1st Ward, 3431 East 100 North, with Bishop Justin Meacham officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
